The most common mistake MSPs make when creating videos is trying to make them _perfect._
As Jordy Starling from _Neural Impact_ explains, nothing drains energy from a video faster than a word-for-word script. When you focus on memorizing lines, you lose what makes your message compelling — your natural tone, expression, and personality.
Instead of scripting, start with a few bullet points outlining what you want to say. Use them as cues, not sentences. That approach helps you stay organized without sounding rehearsed.
Authenticity is what draws viewers in. Buyers don’t expect perfection — they expect _connection._ They want to see the real people behind your MSP and feel confident that you understand their world.
Jordy also shared three simple rules for being great on camera:
1. Be yourself. Bring that confident, conversational version of you that customers meet every day.
2. Smile and engage. A genuine smile adds warmth and trust to your message.
3. Talk with your hands. Movement creates energy, helps your voice sound more natural, and keeps viewers engaged.
When you record from the heart instead of the page, your videos feel like a conversation — not a commercial.
Are you creating videos that sound rehearsed, or ones that sound _real_?
